25 WORDS OR LESS HOLIDAY CONTEST

OFFICIAL RULES

Who Can Enter:

1. “Entrants” must be legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia (“D.C.”) (excluding Guam, Puerto Rico, and all other U.S. territories and possessions) (“U.S.”) who are currently physically located therein. All Entrants must be eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of entry. If Entrant is from a jurisdiction that deems him/her to be a minor, he/she is ineligible to enter the Contest. For purposes of this Contest, a minor is defined as a resident of (i) Alabama or Nebraska who is under nineteen (19) years of age, (ii) Mississippi who is under twenty-one years of age, and (iii) any other state of the U.S. or D.C. under eighteen (18) years of age (“Minor”). Entrants must have either a valid Social Security number or a valid U.S. Individual Taxpayer Identification Number.  Entrants must have lawful access to the method(s) of entry set forth in these official rules (“Rules”).
2. Employees of Fox Television Stations and Dino Bones Productions, Inc. (collectively, “Sponsor”), their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate family and household members of each are ineligible.

How To Enter:

3. To enter the 25 Words Or Less Holiday Contest (“Contest”), qualified Entrants must go to the 25 Words Or Less website at 25words.com/contest during the Entry Period and do the following: (1) provide their full name, E-mail, and phone number; (2) check the box confirming the following: “By checking this box I confirm that I am the age of majority or older in my state of residence and have read and agree to the complete Contest Rules along with related Terms and Conditions, and Privacy Policy located at 25words.com/contestrules”; and (3) submit the correct “secret word” in the empty text box as described below in “How to Play”. No purchase is necessary to enter or win.

When to Enter:

4. The Contest begins Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at 6:00 a.m. Pacific Time (PT) and ends Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time (PT) (“Entry Period”). 

How to Play:

5. During the Entry Period, a social media post will appear on 25 Words Or Less social media platforms located on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and X (formerly known as Twitter) (collectively, “Post”) for seven (7) consecutive days and will direct Entrants to the 25words website at 25words.com/contest where there will be details on how to enter the Contest along with a hyperlink to an episode of the television program 25 Words Or Less on the 25 Words Or Less YouTube page (“Episode”). Entrants must click on the hyperlink to watch the Episode and look for the “secret word” that will appear in a graphic on the bottom of the screen for roughly thirty (30) seconds during the Episode. Once Entrants see the “secret word” they must return to the 25words.com/contest website page and enter the “secret word” in the text box. An incorrect “secret word” will send the message “Wrong Word –Try Guessing The Secret Word Again”. Entrants have an unlimited number of attempts to submit the correct “secret word”. Entrants who submit the correct “secret word” shall be entered into the Contest.  Only the correct “secret word” will be deemed to be a valid entry. Entrants are permitted one (1) submission only. Additional attempts to submit the correct “secret word” will not be accepted and a message indicating the Entrant has already submitted will appear.  Each Entrant may only win once during the Contest. Any attempt by an Entrant to enter the Contest using multiple different email addresses, identities, registrations, logins, or any other methods other than described herein including, but not limited to, commercial contest/giveaway/sweepstakes subscription notification and/or entering services, will void that Entrant’s entry and that Entrant will be disqualified. If Entrants use a web-enabled mobile device to participate, data rates may apply (Entrants should contact their service provider for data rates/plans). Entrants should use care and not drive or operate machinery while entering the Contest.

The Prize:

6. Each of the three (3) winners will be shipped one (1) 25 Words Or Less classic board game produced by USAopoly, and signed by Meredith Viera as well additional celebrities who have appeared on the television program 25 Words Or Less (“Prize”). The Prize is provided and shipped directly to the winners by Sponsor.
7. Only one (1) Prize will be awarded per household.
8. The Prize cannot be redeemed for cash or substituted for any other items by the winners. The winners cannot assign or transfer the Prize. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the Prize with a prize of like or greater value, including cash, for any prize, for any reason.
9. Winners are responsible for all local, county, state, and federal taxes on prizes based on the value of the Prize set forth in these Rules or a substituted prize.

Selection and Notification of Winners:

10. After the Entry Period has concluded, valid entries will be compiled into three (3) randomized draws. Three (3) winners will be selected by random drawing from among valid entries and the random drawing will occur on or about Wednesday, December 20, 2023. (**A VALID ENTRY shall be deemed to be one that consist of the correct “secret word” submitted by an Entrant who provides a proof of eligibility and all required information listed above).
11. Winners will be sent a one-time Prize notification via email on or about Wednesday, December 20, 2023, indicating they have been randomly selected as a winner and requesting additional information. The winner(s) must respond via email to prize notification within twenty-four (24) hours from the notification being sent and must provide their (i) physical mailing address within the U.S. for Prize shipment, (ii) proof of date of birth, and (iii) any other information requested by Sponsor (“Required Information”). Provided Entrant responds with all the Required Information within the designated time period, an email will be sent from digital@25words.com (“25Words Email”) providing further communications regarding the Prize. Entrant’s failure to timely respond with all of the Required Information or to the 25Words Email will be cause for disqualification. If a winner cannot be reached or does not respond to the Prize notification with all of the Required Information or to the 25Words Email within the designated time period, Dino Productions Digital Department will select an alternate winner by random drawing if, in Dino Productions Digital Department’s reasonable discretion, time permits. 
12. For a list of Prize winners, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope no later than six (6) months following the end of the Entry Period, to: Dino Bones Productions, 1999 S Bundy Drive, Floor 3, Los Angeles, California, 90025

Entrants’ Information:

13. Except where prohibited by law, entry constitutes permission to use winners’ names, hometowns, likenesses, and photographs (if any) for broadcast, online posting, and/or any in any other media, including for advertising and publicity purposes, without additional compensation.

Contest Rules:

14. The full Contest Rules are accessible via a hyperlink on 25words.com/contestrules and in each Post during the Entry Period, and a condensed version of the Rules will be included as part of each Post.

Miscellaneous:

15. The Contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited or restricted by law, including without limitation, in jurisdictions requiring registration, filing, trust account, or posting of a bond, or any other requirements or disclosures that are not expressly satisfied by these Rules. Sponsor is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, offering, or administration of the Contest, or in the announcement of the Prize. In the event of a dispute over who submitted a particular entry, Dino Bones Productions Digital Department will determine the Entrant’s identity or select an alternate winner, in its sole discretion.
16. Sponsor is not responsible for error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware, or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry, winner(s) or other Contest information by Sponsor or Entrants for any reason whatsoever. Sponsor is also not responsible for any injury or damage to any Entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any materials in the Contest or for entries that are late, misdirected or incomplete. All entry materials may be maintained as part of Fox Television Stations Contest records. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATIONS OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF THE CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the Contest if it becomes technically or otherwise corrupted.
17. By entering, Entrants represent that they are eligible, and agree (a) to be bound by these Rules and the decisions of the judges, (b) to release Sponsor, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize, and (c) to Sponsor’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy located at the 25 Words Or Less website located at www.25words.com.
