25 WORDS OR LESS HOLIDAY 2024 INSTAGRAM GIVEAWAY CONTEST

OFFICIAL RULES

Who Can Enter:

1. “Contestants” must be legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia (“D.C.”) (excluding Guam, Puerto Rico, and all other U.S. territories and possessions) (“U.S.”) and who are currently physically located therein. All Contestants must be eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of entry. If the Contestant is from a jurisdiction that deems him/her to be a minor, he/she is ineligible to enter the Contest. For purposes of this Contest, a minor is defined as a resident of (i) Alabama or Nebraska who is under nineteen (19) years of age, (ii) Mississippi who is under twenty-one years of age, and (iii) any other state of the U.S. or D.C. under eighteen (18) years of age (“Minor”). Contestants must have either a valid Social Security number or a valid U.S. Individual Taxpayer Identification Number.  Contestants must have lawful access to the method(s) of entry set forth in these official rules (“Rules”).
2. Employees of Fox Television Stations, LLC orDino Bones Productions, Inc. (collectively, “Sponsor”), their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate family and household members of each are ineligible.

When to Enter:

3. The Contest begins Monday, December 16, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST) and ends Friday, December 20, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST) (“Contest Period”). 

How to Play:

4. One (1) video will be posted to the @25wordsorlesstv Instagram account on or about Monday, December 16, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST) (the "Contest Post"). The Contest Post, including its caption, will provide instructions for eligible participants ("Contestants") on how to enter the Contest. To enter, Contestants must:

Tag one (1) other individual in the comments section of the Contest Post, and

Follow the @25wordsorlesstv Instagram account.

Each Contestant is limited to one (1) entry. Contestants may tag multiple individuals; however, only one (1) entry per Contestant will be included in the randomized prize draw regardless of the number of individuals tagged. The Contest begins on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. PST and ends on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. PST (the "Contest Period"). Only eligible entries (comments) submitted during the Contest Period will qualify for the prize draw.

The prize consists of one (1) signed 25 Words or Less board game.

Selection and Notification of Winners:

5. At the conclusion of the Contest Period, all valid entries will be compiled into one (1) randomized draw. One (1) winner will be selected through a random drawing from among all valid entries. The drawing will take place on or about Saturday, December 21st, 2024. A valid entry is defined as an Instagram comment on the Contest Post submitted during the Contest Period by a Contestant who meets all eligibility requirements and complies with the entry instructions outlined above, including proof of eligibility if requested.
6. The potential winner will be contacted on or about Monday, December 23, 2024, via Instagram Direct Message from the official @25wordsorlesstv Instagram account ("Prize Notification"). The winner must provide their email address within 24 hours of receiving the Direct Message. Following this, the winner will be contacted via email from digital@25words.com ("Winner Notification Email") and must provide the following information ("Required Information") by December 31, 2024 at 11:59pm PST:

(i) A valid physical mailing address within the United States for Prize shipment,

(ii) Proof of date of birth, and

(iii) Any additional information requested by the Sponsor.

Failure to provide all Required Information within the designated time frame or failure to respond to the Winner Notification Email will result in disqualification. If the winner cannot be reached or does not respond with all Required Information within the specified time, an alternate winner may be selected by random drawing at the discretion of the Sponsor, provided time permits.

The Prize:

7. There will be one (1) winner of the Contest. The winner will receive one (1) 25 Words or Less classic board game, produced by USAopoly (the "Prize"). The Prize will be shipped to the winner within the month of January 2025.
8. The Prize will be one autographed by 25 Words or Less host, Meredith Vieira, as well as multiple celebrities guest contestants featured in Season 6 of the 25 Words or Less game show. 
9. The Prize cannot be redeemed for cash or substituted for any other items by the winner. The winner cannot assign or transfer the Prize. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the Prize with a prize of like or greater value, including cash, for any prize, for any reason.
10. The Winner is responsible for all local, county, state, and federal taxes on prizes based on the value of the Prize set forth in these Rules or a substituted prize.

Contestant’s Information:

11. Except where prohibited by law, entry constitutes permission to use winners’ names, hometowns, likenesses, and photographs (if any) for broadcast, online posting, and/or any in any other media, including for advertising and publicity purposes, without additional compensation.

Miscellaneous:

13. The Contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited or restricted by law, including without limitation, in jurisdictions requiring registration, filing, trust account, or posting of a bond, or any other requirements or disclosures that are not expressly satisfied by these Rules. Sponsor is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, offering, or administration of the Contest, or in the announcement of the Prize. In the event of a dispute over who submitted a particular entry, Sponsor will determine the Contestant’s identity or select an alternate winner, in its sole discretion.
14. Sponsor is not responsible for error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware, or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry, winner(s) or other Contest information by Sponsor or Contestants for any reason whatsoever. Sponsor is also not responsible for any injury or damage to any Contestant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any materials in the Contest or for entries that are late, misdirected or incomplete. All entry materials may be maintained as part of Fox Television Stations Contest records. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN CONTESTANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATIONS OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF THE CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH CONTESTANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the Contest if it becomes technically or otherwise corrupted.
15. By entering, Contestants represent that they are eligible, and agree (a) to be bound by these Rules and the decisions of the judges, (b) to release Sponsor, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize, and (c) to Sponsor’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy located at the 25 Words Or Less website located at www.25words.com .
